This mixed-methods program evaluation set out to determine if one Public Urban Boarding (PUB) program had value as a school choice for at-promise urban youth to aid in their becoming successful global citizens.

An important practical implication of this research is that while traditional boarding schools are private and costly, Public Urban Boarding schools can provide a viable tuition free option for at-promise youth to gain academic achievement and postsecondary success.
